I am Ben Rosecrans an artist living and working in Connecticut. I have refined my visual and conceptual vocabulary through my education and experiences which has focused on the points of intersection between drawing, architecture, sculpture and spatial analysis. I received my M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Prior to that I received my B.F.A. in Painting from Northern Illinois University. I also have an Associate of Science in 2D/3D Design & Animation from Full Sail University. I have spent the last five years teaching at various institutions throughout the United States. As an Adjunct Professor at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL I taught Drawing II, Color Theory, Intro to Visual Arts, and Non-Western Art History. While I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Doane College in Crete, NE I taught Drawing I, 2D Design, and Art Appreciation. I am currently an Adjunct Professor at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, CT where I have taught 3D Design, Sculpture I & II, and Art Appreciation. Recent group exhibitions include Small Works II, Jeffrey Leder Gallery, New York; Stacked, Madison Public Library, Madison; Objective/Subjective Mapping as Visual Language, N.I.U. Art Museum, Dekalb IL; and The New Modernist, Gallery 19, Chicago.
